Our Story
Session Zero emerged from a simple yet powerful vision: to unite the scattered tribes of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners into one cohesive, supportive community. Our founders witnessed how the BJJ world was fragmented—different gyms, different lineages, different communities—all operating in isolation despite sharing the same passion for the gentle art.
As dedicated practitioners ourselves, we recognized that BJJ's greatest strength lies not just in individual technique, but in the collective wisdom, support, and camaraderie of its practitioners. Yet we saw how geographical barriers, information silos, and outdated tools were preventing the BJJ community from reaching its full potential as a unified force.
We set out to build more than just another platform—we're creating a digital bridge that connects BJJ tribes across the globe. A space where Gracie Barra students can train with Alliance practitioners, where gym owners from different affiliations can share resources, and where the collective knowledge of the entire BJJ community becomes accessible to all who seek it.
